My name is Sarah Tulk, I am an artist working in Birmingham, England, and my story is a simple one…
I remember wanting to be an artist from when I was around nine years old, but things didn’t happen that way, and although I studied art at college, as many do, I found comfort and stability in working 9-5 jobs. I’m still in the world of 9-5, but twelve years ago I painted a portrait for a birthday present, and that event sparked something wonderful. From there grew TulkArt, the other branch of my work. (Head on over to TulkArt.com if you’d care to take a look.)
Then, at the start of 2019, I began to explore the world of the abstract. I practiced and studied, I read, I experienced, and I began to understand the thoughts, the emotions and the techniques behind it.
I lived it and I loved it, and so was born Sarah Tulk – Contemporary Abstract Artist…
I’d just like to take a moment to express many heartfelt thanks for your support of my work. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be able to spend my time creating art and to have it appreciated so enthusiastically.
My nine year old self knew in her heart she would one day be an artist, but to have reached the point where I am entitled to call myself so, is quite simply a dream come true.
So, from the bottom of my creative little heart, thank you.
Much love, Sarah Xx
